Some of Photoshop’s features are quite basic, and much has been added to simplify the process. For example, new layers can be created by holding down the option key or command key and clicking, dragging, or entering various commands. If a layer is selected, you can easily merge, duplicate, or move it.
Creating a New Photoshop Document
To begin, you must open a document. (For more information on creating and naming layers, see the later section, “Creating Layers.”) A Photoshop document consists of layers that make up the whole image. Each layer allows you to apply a different effect to the image. By default, a new document opens into the Photoshop workspace with its default position — in portrait orientation. To change the orientation, first open an image that is already in landscape format.
To save your image as a file in a specific format, select a format from the Save As screen and then press the Enter key or click OK.
In the workspace, when you create a new document, the New Document dialog box appears with the default settings on the left side of the box, as shown in Figure 6-1. Notice that the layers settings, shown in the center of the dialog box, have been set with the default values. The Close button on the right side of the dialog box is used to close the box.
The following sections explain how to modify the default settings to suit your needs.

Auto Smart Objects
The Auto Smart Objects check box, shown in Figure 6-1, by default, is deselected. It enables you to process a photo automatically to create a smart object and preserve transparency. Use the Auto Smart Objects option to create more than one layer in an image. Select it to enable the option.
Smart objects, also known as smart filters, are Photoshop’s built-in layers that can retain an image’s transparency. The layers let you create masks with transparent areas.
To create a smart object, simply click the Create new layer button at the bottom of the Layers palette, labeled in Figure 6-1, and follow the steps.
When you have created your smart object, you can move it or copy it to another layer, just as you would any other layer. The smart object can also be removed from a document, so you can reuse it in several projects. If you want to edit the smart object

What is Photoshop Elements?
Photoshop Elements is a basic graphics editor that requires no software expertise. It is designed to help you quickly create and manipulate images for the web and mobile phones. The program is very easy to use.

How to uninstall Photoshop Elements
Use the following directions if you want to uninstall Photoshop Elements manually from the computer. You can also uninstall through the Mac system preferences, click on “Mac” at the top, then “Applications” then click on “Remove” and uninstall.
To remove Photoshop Elements:
Click on the Start button and open the “Control Panel.”
click on the “Programs” icon, then click “Uninstall a Program”
Find “Photoshop Elements” in the list of installed programs, locate and then click “Remove”.
After you remove Photoshop Elements, you can delete the Adobe folder.

The Trailfinders, New Brunswick Route 3
The Trailfinders, New Brunswick Route 3 is a 42 km rural route, connecting Centreville-Deep Cove to Route 111.
The section of Route 3 between its eastern terminus at Route 12 at Centreville-Deep Cove and Cascumpec Mills was originally numbered Route 1 in the late 1950s. Both DHA and EPA had similar effects on human sperm membrane fluidity, but only EPA significantly increased FABP activity in both sperm plasma and acrosomal membranes. Sperm motility was not affected by EPA or DHA treatment. These findings suggest that EPA may modify fatty acid metabolism in spermatozoa, thereby modifying membrane fluidity and membrane protein activity.
