Since 2002, the Planet of the Vicious Creatures (referred to as The Planet in earlier incarnations) has been a dark place where sentient creatures have been imprisoned, forced to fight, and tortured for the entertainment of galactic travelers.
In the distant future, where technology is only just now reaching the point of exploration, these sentient creatures have been forgotten by the rulers of the galaxy and have forgotten their past.
Now, in the dark heart of The Planet, where the Godzilla-like monsters preside, humans from distant civilizations are brought to view and to feed the beast.
You are a new pilgrim to The Planet.
You are stranded and alone.
You must survive in the dark and fight for your life.
And you must discover who was responsible for your predicament.
Game Play
Trials of a New Pilgrim takes place in the dark, scary world of The Planet.
Your character will travel through a series of dangerous portals, fight terrifying monsters, locate keys, and collect items to pass the tests and move on.
Play begins with an extensive tutorial that uses over 15 minutes of animated cut scenes.
Throughout the gameplay, optional challenges will be presented to you.
Most of the gameplay consists of challenging the player to pass one or more of these challenges.
Each optional challenge will test your characters strength and reflexes.
There are many different types of monster in The Planet.
These monsters are mostly spherical and have some sort of appendages that they can use.
Throughout the gameplay there will be items needed to pass each challenge, and at the end of each challenge, there will be a monster boss that must be killed to proceed to the next challenge.
There are many challenges, but I will not release the full list of challenges yet.
This is because I like to surprise my visitors with new challenges.
Trial of a New Pilgrim, consists of a series of portals that can be solved by traveling through the dungeons.
For example, the first portal may have a chest that requires solving a series of puzzles to open, then a monster will be unleashed.
To get through the first portal, you must solve the puzzles and defeat the monster.
The second portal may have a cyclops that shoots eye lasers.
To get through the second portal, you must defeat the cyclops.
The third portal may have a ghost that wails and chases you down.
To get through the third portal, you must defeat the ghost.
