By In my opinion and this is just an opinion to which I am entitled, it seems like namecheap.com has either been hacked or something really serious is going on.
A company that big would not EVER have an unscheduled maintenance period!! PERIOD!
They either have a very bad Server Team or their Datacenter is not set-up properly to allow for fail over. Reason I bring this up is because there is one thing having an unscheduled maintenance window, that is if your DC blows up, your DC is hit my a tornado, your DC is flooded in a Tsunami. However most enterprise calss Datacenter have a Disaster Recovery Site right?
SO it is going to be interesting to find out what really happened. Hey eBay owned up to been hacked, if it truly is an innocent case of unscheduled maintenance then it really is a case of them having to look at their infrastructure, staff, management or maybe its just me.
