It comes in 2 versions, a Free version and a Pro version. The Free version is a simple version, but is fully featured. The Pro version is stripped down for those seeking a simple catalog browser.
Both versions have a number of features in common. They both have a list of files open when the program is started. Each file can be selected for its default bookmark. Bookmarks can be named, enabled and disabled and there is a Auto-Bookmarking function.

GutenPy is a software tool that can be used as a comfortable text reader and catalog browser for Project Gutenberg.
It has a sidebar with file bookmarks, a handy line numbering system, a mouse paging feature, dictionary lookups, catacomb browsing, language-specific bookmarks, hyperlinks to third-party project templates, an offline catalog, library-level bookmarks and more.
You can search files, bookmarks, or project pages to find specific information.
You can open a web page to view the files it’s made of.
You can bookmark as many files as you like, have multiple bookmarks, save your catacomb, use Google as a dict server, and have GutenPy remember all your settings for next session.
You can also save your selected booklist for future downloading.
You can set GutenPy to work as a text editor and can be used as a simple Text Document reader or book reader. You can configure your GutenPy display in the preferences.
An example usage may be:
– Optionally drag and drop your Gutenberg eBooks into GutenPy and they will be available as bookmarks in the catacomb.
– Open a file in GutenPy.
– Click on any text that you wish to show the URL, and it will open the file in your default browser with that URL.
– If you have a URL for a third-party project template, you can view it in the sidebar.
– Search for a file or bookmarked file in the catacomb with the search bar.
