iHeartMedia gives Craig Bommer top marketing post

PARKERSBURG — Craig Bommer has been named iHeartMedia market president for the Wheeling and Parkersburg markets effective immediately.

Bommer, a marketing and sales veteran, has been in the Wheeling-Parkersburg market for 17 years and also was the vice president of business operations for the Wheeling Nailers. He began his career at iHeartMedia in 2016 as the senior vice president of sales for the Wheeling and Parkersburg markets and is a graduate of West Liberty University.

“I’m excited to be leading the iHeartMedia Wheeling-Parkersburg team,” Bommer said. “This opportunity is a new and exciting challenge in my career path, and I look forward to working with everyone to help build upon the success each market has achieved.”

The company operates radio stations WBBD, WEGW, WKWK, WOVK, WVKF, WWVA, WDMX, WLTP, WNUS and WRVB.

Bommer will work with the programming, business and sales teams for all station brands to provide quality programming as well as create new revenue opportunities. Bommer will report to Tim McAleer, Region President for iHeartMedia Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
