Unique Mackay business makes big changes

TWO of Mackay’s strongest marketing agencies have merged to create an incredible new business.

Rebel Nation is the result of Out of the Blue Marketing and Rebel Marketing coming together as one.

Owned by Jade McAuley, Rebel Nation is a unique entity providing one of a kind services to Mackay and Queensland.

Ms McAuley said the journey first started when she purchased Out of the Blue Marketing in 2017.

“I already had my business Rebel Marketing at the time, but I was up for the challenge,” she said.

“I purchased Out of the Blue and then spent 12 months merging the two businesses.”

The merge involved picking out the best aspects of both businesses to create an incredible final product.

“I looked at the resources and skills from both sides and asked myself how I could improve,” Ms McAuley said.

“After 12 months I felt like the new business had grown immensely and it was definitely time to announce the next step.”

The launch of Rebel Nation was an exciting occasion for Ms McAuley and her team.

On Friday night business people from across the region gathered to celebrate the milestone.

“The launch went really well and it was heart-warming to see everyone’s response to the new materials and direction we are taking,” Ms McAuley said.

“My inbox has just been flooded with emails from people congratulating me.

“After waiting for so long to reveal the new business, it’s a great feeling to finally let everyone know about it.

“The feedback has all been extremely positive.”

Rebel Nation has an incredible list of projects to focus on in 2019.

Social media marketing, website delivery and recruitment packages are just some of the services on offer.

“We have a social media project launching soon which will be a first for the region and maybe even a first for Queensland,” Ms McAuley said.

“We will also be revealing a brand new way of delivering websites that could be unique to Australia.

“I haven’t seen the concept delivered by anyone else across the country.

“I’m super excited to work with my team and deliver something completely unique to the industry.”

Storytelling videos are also a major focus for Rebel Nation, Ms McAuley said.

“We are trying to get away from the usual commercials and promos,” she said.

“We want to help our clients create a video that will tell their customers more about them and the story behind their business.

“Videos like this go really well online and on social media and increase engagement.”

Jade McAuley has been working in marketing and media since 2004 and has been involved with some of the biggest brands and launches in the region. The Mackay business owner said she is hopeful her new brand will grow beyond what she first imagined.

“Rebel Nation is about working with local businesses and organisations, but with a global attitude,” she said.
