SteamTab Duo sets a new standard in capability and ease of use for steam property generation. In addition, with SteamTab Duo, you can choose from two different formulations to base steam property calculations:
Scientific Formulation (IAPWS-95): This is the formulation approved by the International Association of the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS) in 1995 for general and scientific use. This formulation is more thermodynamically rigorous, accurate, and applicable over wider range of conditions.
Industrial Formulation (IAPWS-IF97): This is the IAPWS approved formulation of industrial and special use. The industrial formulation is based on an approximation of the scientific formulation and is generally used in situations where computational speed is of importance.
Using SteamTab Duo in a spreadsheet allows you to examine a large number of design scenarios for optimization and visualize the results in great looking tables and charts.
SteamTab Duo could also be used to generate Mollier charts and steam tables in your own choices of units, graduations, or language. Give SteamTab Duo a try to fully assess its capabilities!

What is SteamTab Duo?
Let’s briefly discuss what SteamTab Duo is in three aspects:
What: SteamTab Duo is an Excel Workbook which consists of multiple data acquisition functions:
SteamProperty
MollierChart
SteamTable
How it is different from other similar products:
User Interface: SteamTab Duo contains a very user friendly interface. Each function has its own button for easy access. No buttons are hidden or hidden behind system menus.
Number of Acronyms: SteamTab Duo only uses the most standard terminology. No proprietary terms for data acquisition.
Design of the User Interface: The user interface is built around the actual data acquisition functions for easy access. The user interface is optimized for efficiency and simplicity.
Simplicity: The simplicity of the user interface is one of the major reasons SteamTab Duo was developed. SteamTab Duo contains no user interface controls which would complicate its usability, and it does not have any parameters to set. Simply click the function and generate your steam property report.
Prompts the user to perform most of the functions.
Prompts user to perform only the functions that require them.
Safety/Security:
SteamTab Duo is a safe and secure tool.
SteamTab Duo has been tested in the most stringent environments.
SteamTab Duo is a trusted tool.
SteamTab Duo has been tested for stability in the most stringent environments.
Data Acquisition:
SteamTab Duo collects data using a system developed for the needs of SteamEngineering Suite.
It should be noted that SteamTab Duo is not a Web Application. Any use of Internet or other applications is not recommended.

With SteamTab Duo, model development is as simple as dragging and dropping.
To create a new model, drag an existing table from your spreadsheet to the top left corner of the screen and drop it. In the example above, we have dragged a table from a spreadsheet and dropped it onto the top left corner of the screen.
A new model is automatically created in the table you dragged into the window, with an ID for this model in the top left corner. You can add new columns to this model at any time.
To use the model in the spreadsheet, drag and drop a table onto the top right corner of the spreadsheet and hit “Tab to Model”.
Select each table in the spreadsheet and from the “Model” tab of the side menu, right-click on the table you want to link to the model in the spreadsheet. Choose “Tab to Model” to create a link. It is possible to have multiple links in the spreadsheet, allowing you to create several models. As you create models, you can drag and drop tables or columns to either start a new model in a new table or to link to models already in your spreadsheet. Simply drag a table or column from the spreadsheet to the model and hit “Tab to Model”, and the name of the table or column you are dragging will be added to the title of the model.

SteamTab Duo [32|64bit]
SteamTab Duo is a dual physical property solver for use in a spreadsheet.
The dual physical property solver provides a number of solver methods based on the physical properties of water, steam, and gas. These methods are linear solvers for steam and gas, a non-linear solver for steam, and an iterative solver for gas.
SteamTab Duo can perform calculations for the binary properties of hot water, cold water, saturated steam, saturated (dry) steam, steam cloud fraction, dew point, specific humidity, vapor pressure, enthalpy, and entropy.
SteamTab Duo can also easily be extended to generate binary properties for other liquids and gases.
You can use the results to create:
A base number of hot water or cold water binary properties, depending on the solver method you selected
Steam properties such as specific volume, vapor pressures and enthalpies, saturated steam properties, dew points, specific humidities, entropies, and specific
Steam cloud fractions.
Mollier charts and mollier curves can also be generated with a large number of base properties, either directly from SteamTab Duo or from a spreadsheet using the results of a SteamTab Duo calculation.
The dual physical property solver offers 6 different solver methods, which use combinations of the following properties
A single temperature
Two temperatures
Single pressure
Two pressures
Two pressures and two temperatures
Two pressures and a single temperature
A quick way to select the solver method is to select Base Properties.
SteamTab Duo Binary Properties
SteamTab Duo binary properties are based on different solver methods and, depending on the method chosen, are generated with some or all of the following binary properties for each liquid. This, therefore, defines SteamTab Duo Binary Properties as:
Base properties
Equivalent temperature
Specific volume
Average properties
Mollier properties
The measurement units are temperature in kelvins and pressure in hectopascals.
Base Properties
All methods require a single temperature. Additional temperature is optional. SteamBase properties are defined by the solver method. All methods except the non-linear solver require the temperature to be provided as an additional parameter. The two solvers for steam only use the low pressure limit of the steam properties.
Solver Methods
Binary Saturated Steam Properties
Binary Vapor Pressure Properties
What’s New In SteamTab Duo?
SteamTab Duo lets you enter an IAPWS-95 or IAPWS-IF97 formulation for a property calculation and calculate property values within a Google spreadsheet. SteamTab Duo uses the IAPWS-95 and IAPWS-IF97 formulas in the way that they are intended to be used.
While SteamTab Duo is on line, there are two “command strips” that allow you to control the calculations and view the results in a spreadsheet or your choice of presentations. You can also use these command strips to make various visualizations as needed. Those power in a single tool!
Version 1.3.0
SteamTab Duo Version 1.3.0 contains a very interesting new feature. If you have many steam properties in a file, you will now automatically be able to export them. All properties get a human-readable file name. You can then either open those generated files or use the new build in SteamTab Pro+ tool to do make a waterfall chart for the data as a background to your file. You are then able to directly compare the data from these different files. Great for comparing different production runs or even a project based on a specific design. The tool can also summarize multiple steam properties and save the result as a single text file.
Downloads
Steam Tab Duo is available in three versions: A free Standard version (SteamTab Duo 1.1.0), a Free Pro version (SteamTab Duo 1.2.2) and a pro version with a waterfall and water table (SteamTab Duo 1.3.0).
