DarkNode is an anonymous file sharing application that helps you to share files with other users anonymously.
Simply select a file and enter it’s name. DarkNode is able to find other users who have the same file, and allow them to download the selected file.
Unlike the StealthNet Client, DarkNode can track down users who have deleted files from their shared folders. The delete functionality of darkNode gives access to the right to delete files when the shared user logs off, and is used by the silent majority.

An application that allows you to share your files anonymously.
I know that FTP files are just ASCII / binary files which contain information.
These ASCII/Binary files are different from normal files in that they don’t have a file extension (only a filename).
But I wasn’t sure about the size of these ASCII / Binary files.
So I ran DarkNode/FileZilla and saw that the largest FileSize shown (when I ran the command “ls -al | more”) was 300,000,000 Bytes
How do you keep your filenames secret, you can of course just encrypt the filenames, but how do you make sure the filenames still are identifiable.
I don’t want my filenames to be displayed to the user.
Every user has a unique name based upon their IP. DarkNode employs SHA1 hashes to create these names. Any user can download DarkNode, and install the application. After installation, the installer creates a sub-directory, with the SHA1 of the user’s chosen username. Files placed in this directory are encrypted with the installer’s key, and are identified by their SHA1 hash. These files (or directories) are stored outside of the users’ home directory, and have the following permissions, and hidden:
chmod 600 DarkNode/SHA1*
chown DarkNode:DarkNode DarkNode/SHA1*
chown DarkNode:DarkNode DarkNode/ *
mv -f DarkNode/SHA1* DarkNode/ *

The President of the university confirmed that David Coleman
would be acting vice president at Pitt for a year, as the university
oversees its $5 million budget and deals with a faculty union that
plans a strike if one of its demands is not met.
